Preschool (Three and Four year olds)

Morning Star's preschool class for three-year-olds meets on Tuesday and Thursdays mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Children must be three by September 15 to enroll.  Our curriculum introduces numbers, letters, and phonics in an engaging manner that uses singing and rhyming to encourage comprehension.  Three-year-olds will learn about the days of the week, months of the year, seasons, and weather during calendar time.  We offer a structured preschool program that balances free play with organized activities.

Children who are four years of age by September 15 may enroll in our three day a week program.  Session times are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or from 12:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.  Many children with summer birthdays who have already turned five also attend this class.  We consider this our pre-k class and stress kindergarten readiness skills.  Students will know consonant and vowel sounds, be able to do simple math problems, and have been introduced to basic science and history facts through interesting unit studies.
