We are looking for candidates who will foster relationships with our students and use those relationships as a means for discipleship and sharing the gospel. Morning Star Academy is a classical Christian school with approximately 256 students from Pre-K through 12th Grade.

Currently Hiring for:

• Assistant Librarian - This is a part-time position, 6 hours per week. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assistant Librarian to support the daily operations of the library.  The ideal candidate has an interest in literature, enjoys encouraging the love of reading in students and is eager to learn library procedures and best practices.

• Part-Time Biology Teacher - We are looking for a part time Biology teacher to teach one freshman level Biology class.  Classes are 45 minutes in length and are held Monday through Friday from 10:40-11:25.  The lesson plans, tests, and supplemental material are already prepared.  We simply need someone to teach the material.  Qualified applicants will have a four-year degree in some field; it doesn’t have to be in biology or science.  They will also have to agree with our statement of faith and be active church members.

• Part-Time Chemistry Teacher - We are looking for a part time Chemistry teacher to teach one sophomore level Chemistry class.  Classes are 45 minutes in length and are held Monday through Friday from 12:49-1:34.  The lesson plans, tests, and supplemental material are already prepared.  We simply need someone to teach the material.  Qualified applicants will have a four-year degree in some field; it doesn’t have to be in chemistry or science.  They will also have to agree with our statement of faith and be active church members.

• Accountant - This is a part-time position. The accountant is responsible for the management and control of Morning Star Academy’s accounting functions. He or she will perform various tasks in support of the school’s accounting system that requires the understanding/regular use of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and decision making based upon knowledge concerning accounting concepts, methods and procedures.

• Spanish Teacher - This is a part-time position where the Spanish teacher will oversee and teach the Upper School language courses (Spanish I, II and III) so that each participating student achieves a higher level of ability to communicate in Spanish, gain knowledge and understanding of the Spanish culture, connect with other disciplines within the Upper School as those disciplines pertain to Spanish, develop insight into the nature of language and culture, participate in multilingual communities at home and possibly around the world with the aim that the students might better love their non-English speaking neighbors.
