Why Support MSA?
For over 16 years, members of the Morning Star Academy community have stood together to build an institution that provides the highest quality of Christian education. Morning Star Academy's students have enjoyed a special relationship with teachers, who inspire students to reach their fullest potential. They leave MSA with an understanding of the individual's responsibility to society as well as to Christ. Thanks to the generosity of those who have come before us, MSA's students continue to learn from some of the most dedicated teachers and benefit from one of the best educational programs in the country.
To continue this excellent education, Morning Star Academy relies on contributions from parents, grandparents, future alumni and friends. As an independent school, MSA operates without financial support from local, state and federal governments. Tuition does cover many of our expenses, but not all. We are actively developing a strong Annual Fund, with a need for an endowment to maintain growing operations. Friends of MSA can support the school through outright financial gifts, real estate, stocks and even bequests.

STO Scholarship Donation
Morning Star Academy is a member of the Heart of Iowa STO. An STO is a School Tuition Organization that enables dollars donated to be distributed to a school, and can only be used to offset tuition through scholarships to qualifying families.
An STO donation includes a 75% Iowa state tax credit, which directly reduces your tax obligation to the state of Iowa. A $1,000 donation reduces your taxes by $750. Plus, it may also qualify for federal tax deductions depending on your situation.
